JOIN THE YOUTH GROUP!
The DFW Hindu Temple Youth Group is a group that gets together to carry out activities and make a contribution to the community. In the youth group, members have the opportunity to work with others and develop important communication, cooperation, and leadership skills. Members have the opportunity to apply for leadership positions, which require previous volunteering experience and participation in the Youth Group: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

The Youth Group currently consists of 30 members and is looking to increase their numbers. So feel free to join as it would greatly make a positive impact on the surrounding community.
Give Back to the Community
The Youth Group is an organization that donates to many charities, but the most common, frequent, and recent charities we have picked were the Samaritan Inn and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Founded in 1984, The Samaritan Inn started out as an emergency night shelter that could only accommodate 10 men each night. Over the last 30 years, The Samaritan Inn has evolved into a comprehensive homeless program that helps willing people gain dignity and independence. St Jude Children's Research Hospital, founded in 1962, is a pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children's catastrophic diseases, particularly leukemia and other cancers. The hospital costs about US$2.8 million a day to run, but patients are not charged for their care. St. Judes as mentioned previously doesn’t charge its patients for care which is one of the most important reasons why we chose this specific place.

Hello, I’m Eshan Singhal and am serving as the Youth Group Vice President. I’m a junior at The Oakridge School and am very passionate about saving our environment. So much so that I had started a non-profit dedicated to doing just that! I also love all things STEM as well as playing with my 5 year old brother in my free time. All in all, I am thrilled to be a part of our Youth Group!

Hello, I’m Samarth Sarda and I am the current Youth Group Treasurer. I am a junior at LD Bell High School. Some of my hobbies are to play music, play sports, and play video games. I have been a part of the Youth Group for a few years now and love to help out in the community. I am very excited to be in the group and look forward to a wonderful year.

Hello, I’m Nimit Satwah, your current Youth Group Secretary. I’m a sophomore at Keller High School. Some of my hobbies include playing cricket, cycling, watching TV and playing video games! I have made fond memories at Vidya Vikas that I hope to pass on to other Youth Group members through my ideas. I am eager to see how much we can accomplish together this year!

Hi everyone, my name is Naman Satwah and I am serving as the Youth Group Treasurer. I’m a senior at Keller High School and I am so excited to be an office holder for the Youth Group. Some things I like to do in my free time are play Cricket, play video games with my friends, and cook/bake. I look forward to meeting all of you soon!
